My Little Problem
My Little Problem originated in Simon Janes' bedroom, where his experiments in the lo-fi indie genre saw releases by Becalmed Records/Intercontinental Records and airplay by the late John Peel. His love of music and keen ear began at an early age. Encouraged by his audio dad, he learned about production and speaker design, eventually bouncing tracks between two old tape machines. 20 years and many broken pieces of hifi later has led to the setting up of Brighton's Homesick Studios. Simon's involvement in 100 Pets (Pickled Egg) and Bonobo (Ninja Tunes) made him realise it was possible to take his studio recordings and perform them live. When asked to play a gig at Brighton Live in 2005, he turned to his friends for help... MLP is now a nine piece band featuring trumpet, lapsteel, banjo, cello and laptop sounds.
