Isosceles
Isosceles are a buoyant pop mix taking in the joyful rush of Jonathan Richman, the DIY funk of Liquid Liquid and the classic melody of XTC, Isosceles are a band in the Great Glaswegian tradition: intelligent, danceable and laden with tunes. One time Belle And Sebastian cover star Jack Valentine formed the band after starting a music technology in Glasgow just over a year ago. Together with fellow student and former maths prodigy Robert Stephen on drums, Hammond organist William Aikman and bassist Andrew Wilson, they made their public debut at a friends party held at a farm in the wilds of Scotland. Soon afterwards, they were spotted by Alex Kapranos who asked them to support Franz Ferdinand on their mini-tour of the highlands and islands in the autumn of 2007. They released their debut single 'Get Your Hands Off', shortly after this and unsurprisingly it sold out. Having just released their second single 'Kitch Bitch', and now championed by both Radio One and XFM in Scotland, they are about to take on the rest of the British Isles.
