** NEW NIGHT, NEW DANGER! **
** PERMANENT CREEPS, FIERCE PANDA & CLUB FANDANGO JOIN FURCES… **
** …ON NEW LIVE VENTURE AT THE VICTORIA ON AUGUST 7TH! **
A fierce panda 25 alive promotion
Fruitsome gigging news, pop cats - as part of its ongoing silver anniversary celebrations the recklessly optimistic fierce panda is launching a new monthly night, this time alongside friends old and new in the shape of the redoubtable Club Fandango and the irrepressible Permanent Creeps organization.
The showcases launch on August 7th at The Victoria in Hackney, and thereafter take place on the first Wednesday of every month, pretty much. It sees the pandango crew return to the venue for the first time since hosting Fontaines DC’s breakthrough show in March 2018, which earned them a deal with Partisan as well as the undying love of Steve Lamacq, who anointed it his gig of the year.
This opening night falls in the very week the new soccer season cranks into life, so what better way to dust off those shin pads than with Italia ’90 and Football FC playing in full soccer-tastic formation with Al Moses and On Video in the midfield, like this…

ITALIA ’90 (onstage 10.15pm) are from South London and flaunt an excellently agitated sound once cannily described as ‘bone crushing post-punk with a krautrock edge’, as you might expect from a band who look hard-as-’79-nails and come armed with a similarly tough militant lyrical undercurrent. Expect a brand new EP - their third - on fierce panda / Permanent Creeps in the autumn.
AL MOSES (onstage 9.30pm) are a rock'n'roll band from South Wales who project youthful rock’n’roll spirit and attitude which sees ‘90s-inspired musicality mulched in with catchy indie riffs. What they do feels fresh and new. What’s delivered live is special. It’s loud but refined. It’s individual and exciting. It’s also won them Best Breakout Band at the Cardiff Music Awards 2019 and cranked up the feral fun on their latest single, 'Taxidermy'. www.facebook.com/almosesband
ON VIDEO (onstage 8.45pm) are four garage kids from East London who make rowdy pop tunes with a breezy bruised edge, as you can see from the punchy video for 'Adversary' over at www.facebook.com/onvideoband
FOOTBALL FC (onstage 8.00pm) are from Bristol and create a swirling post-punk wall of chaos once cannily described as “a spunky DIY sound”.
