CHINA BEARS (onstage 9.45pm) live in the wild Home Counties and write tremendously tidy tunes with heart and honesty and the odd upset outbursts of guitar. Their immense and intense ‘I’ve Never Met Anyone Like You’ EP is a work of high alt.rock art and is out right now.
SKINT & DEMORALISED (onstage 9.00pm) are dueling Yorkshire duo Matt Abbott (the speaker) and David Gledhill (the muso) who reformed for this year’s sensationally humane ‘We Are Humans’ album, a punchy poet-punk extravaganza zinging with political passion and empathetic overtones.
KIZZIE (onstage 8.15pm) is from Somerset via ACM Guildford. She draws influence from artists such as Phoebe Bridgers, Dry The River, Daughter and Lucy Rose. She deploys a distinctive tone and honest, heartfelt lyrics along with ambient guitar arrangements.
