We Were Promised Jetpacks are a four-piece rock band, formed in Edinburgh, United Kingdom in 2003 by high school friends Adam Thompson (Guitar/Vocals), Michael Palmer (Guitar), Sean Smith (Bass) and Darren Lackie (Drums). They are currently signed to Fat Cat Records, with their first album due in 2009.
