Emmy The Great
Emmy The Great is a London based singer-songwriter. Emmy used to be in a band. Then one day the band stopped showing up to rehearsals. And when she bumped into the band at college or at Sainsburys, her band would go 'Look! Frank Sinatra!' and scarper. So Emmy took the hint and started playing by herself. A proponent of the London anti-folk scene, she has collaborated with several other artists, namely Johnny Flynn, Jeremy Warmsley and Helen White. She has supported Scott Matthews, Martha Wainwright, Tilly and the Wall, Mystery Jets, Guillemots, Jamie T and Kimya Dawson, amongst others. [Photo: Francesca Perry]
