Lola And The Clic - Laura Hocking began writing sinister, satirical folk songs to prove to a boy that anyone could do it. She writes waltzes for stalkers, glock-driven celebrations of bicycle theft and jazz shanties on the love troubles of a female wrestling champ. In 2009 she was joined by Jane McMullen on cello and Matt Lloyd on harmony, and became Lola & the Clic. Her music draws from from blues, antifolk and vaudevillian cabaret, mixing classical cello with boy-girl harmonies and acoustic guitar.
