Duke Raoul come all the way from Brighton and mix fuzzy chiming guitars with blissful washes of synth, behind quietly optimistic lyrics and fluid rhythms. With the guitar interplay of Sonic Youth, atmospherics of M83, and the complex pop of bands such as Clor and Field Music, the four-piece produce a sound very much all of their own. They have just released their debut double A-side single ‘Strange/Dead Echoes’ on Prime Cut to great praise from blogs and music press and recently played alongside bands such as Esben & the Witch, We Were Promised Jetpacks and Your Twenties.
