Spotlight Kid are from Nottingham and feature infamous local townsfolk such as Chris Davis from Six By Seven and Rob McLeary and Katy Heath out of Bent. In this current guise they aim for the psyched-out shoegazey stars with nods towards MBV, Lush, Spacemen 3 and Swervedriver. Ergo expect lashings of layers of noise on their just-released debut album ‘Disaster Tourist’ (Tri-Tone / PIAS).
