Absent Kid
Absent Kid are Martin, Richard, Kerri, Mark and Craig. Based in Colchester, Essex, they play an energetic brand of indie-pop. The fledgling Absent Kid got their first break winning the Diesel U-Music Award for Best New Rock act. The band released debut mini-album ‘I Burnt Down the Family Business’ through legendary North London indie label Fierce Panda. Full length follow up 'Misadventure' was hailed as the bands finest work to date, combining crunching indie rock-riffs with dirty grooves and euphoric choruses. Now they're back for 2010 with a clutch of new songs and a mischievous glint in their collective eyes.
