Kill The Dandies
Kill The Dandies are 5-piece from The Czech Republic, led by vocalist & keyboard player La Petite Sonja and the vocals and guitar of Hank J. Manchini. Formed 3 years ago in Prague they have played numerous festivals and venues in their native Czech Republic and across Europe. A lethal sonic cocktail of sixties‘ garage rock with thick layers of hammonds, analogue synths, hammering drums and wild biting guitars, The Dandies’ inspirations range from Cramps-esque psychotic rock’n’roll, to Lee Hazlewood’s country ballads, The Velvet Underground, and Phil Spector. Their long awaited first album I Saw White Fields (2010) was released on the band’s own label Drug Me Records, and co-produced by Bert Neven, known for his work with Killing Joke. They again teamed up with Neven for their second album Those Who Hold the Flame, released to much acclaim earlier this year in May.
