Rory Butler
Rory Butler has been recognised by many seasoned practitioners in the music industry as a bonafide British talent of enormous international potential. The legendary Danny Thompson, bass player with both John Martyn and Nick Drake back in the day, has endorsed him as a worthy successor to that great line of songwriters; has commissioned songs and even had Rory play alongside himself and Richard Thompson at Danny's 75th birthday party in 2014.
With mesmeric guitar virtuosity and a voice reminiscent of a young John Martyn it's not surprising he has been received with such acclaim.
He is currently writing with Iain Archer(Snow Patrol, Jake Bugg) by Iain's personal request, and is being courted by several major record companies eager to secure his signature. 2015 looks likely to be the year a lot more people are going to hear from Rory Butler.
