Yaz Aiyla Alternative R&B singer songwriter Yaz Aiyla (Born Yasemin Taylor-Gencer), creates powerful and pure neo soul-rooted music. Born to English and Turkish parents, and growing up between Devon and Turkey, Yaz Aiyla was exposed to a vast array of music, and moved to London to pursue her music career. Aiyla takes inspiration from an eclectic group of genres, from artists such as Amy Winehouse, Tom Misch, The Internet and Erykah Badu to Banks, Bononbo, Tash Sultana and Santana to name but a few, aiding her in creating a delicately and delightfully put together sound.
