The Pistolas
The Pistolas have, like many before them and for obvious reasons, evolved through the circumstance of small city mentality. If you are into the same sort of music you'll find like minded people in Norwich and although there are a few bands and a tight scene, there aren't a load of outlets. Always dancing and pretty much always debauched, The Pistolas sound glides from the social commentary of The Specials to the fired up pop of The Ramones. Since April 2005, their demo track 'Listen Listen' has received regular plays from the likes of John Kennedy's XFM Exposure Show, Huw Stephens (One Music) and Steve Lamacq on Radio One.
In July, The Pistolas win the 'Best Rock Act' and 'Best Live Act' at the Diesel-U-Music awards and after much hard work, stick themselves on the 'radar'. Their debut release, 'Listen Listen', will see the light of day on fierce panda on Feb 13th.
