Keyboard Rebel With a handful of songs but only one pair of hands to play them he needed help. Four of his Slick Nine compadres leapt to the rescue and Keyboard Rebel was born. A series of lo-fi turbo R&B appearances were swiftly racked up across the country, and a release on Twisted Nerve Records followed. As time and the discovery of 'After The Goldrush' mellowed the young Rebels, the band's sound took a more folksome direction, and critics duely lapped up this 'infectious, wild and brilliantly charming' new approach.
