The Beford Rascals The Bedford Rascals are a Nottingham fourpiece formed out of the menthol cigarette ashes of the christmas party season of 2004. Their jittery skiffle pop and curtain-twitching tales of gated shangri las call to mind the mod-pop of blur and the television personalities and the claustrophobic suburban monologues of Alans Bennett and Sillitoe. With a jagged,visceral and slightly bow-legged live act they've blazed a tweedy trail around Nottingham over the past six months.
