The Bookhouse Boys are cast like nothing else on the scene right now. The Bookhouse Boys come wrapped in the soundscapes of Ennio Morricone, and prosecute their delight in surf-music with the sinister zeal of Queens Of The Stone Age and The Pixies. With a duo of drummers, boy-girl vocals, brass section and dueling guitars providing a wall of uplifting yet blood curdling sound, they're a remarkable live prospect. Evoking a kind of table-top dancing and dance-floor jousting unlike anything else on the UK live circuit. Recorded in shifts at Tambourine Studios in Sweden, and the basement of front-man Paul Van Oestren, the band's debut album was released on Aug 18th on Black Records.
