Eliza Jaye And The Tarts
Eliza Jaye And The Tarts posses a swagger and suggestive lyrics, and introduce their foot stomping, arm raising debut single – 'Black Heart Rum' released on 5th September. Recorded on a farm in the wilds of Sussex, this debut offering boasts a delicious slice of a bluesy, rustic pie. ‘Black Heart Rum’ is a single that draws influence from both Irish folk tunes and the bush songs that Eliza and her fellow band mate and sister Anna grew up on. This eclectic mix is over laid with Eliza’s laconic vocals taking the listener on a journey through her experiences and fantasies including love, lust & longing – resulting in a tune that harks back to the days of Fleetwood Mac, first loves and sticky floors on a dark dance floor, seductive secret bars of days gone by.
