Inner City Pirates
Inner City Pirates hail from Wales. The self-proclaimed 'young and younger part-time scenesters, part time haters of the scene' came together through a 'mutual love of dancing to anything from early club classics (Baby D) to indie and cheese'. It transpires that going to dingy dark bars that smell like rats socks has given them a chance to create something completely the opposite. The early signs bode well for the Pirates future; Zane Lowe invited them onto the Gonzo Tour and early radio spins came from Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens, when ‚Äö?Ñ??Eat The Paint‚Äö?Ñ?¥ was nothing but a demo. In 2006 they were the Reading Festival 'Official Backstage Gorilla Giggers' and have been awarded NME 'Vinyl of the Week' for their first release.
