BAND PLAYING BIGGEST HEADLINE SHOW TO DATE AT THE BORDERLINE, LONDON (14+)
HABITATS are an indie-pop / tropical groove four piece band based in Hampshire. Their debut EP Diamond Days was released in February 2015 followed by their 2nd EP in February 2016, both EP's have been compared to the likes of Foals, Vampire Weekend, The 1975 and Peace. Singles ‘Peace Of Mind’, ‘Diamond Days’, 'Boogie Waltzer' and 'Jungles' gained radio love from Huw Stevens, Steve Lamacq & John Kennedy as well as KEXP in USA.
The band relish the idea of not having a specific frontman, with each of them providing enough strong characteristics in the music to be able to swap microphones at will, forming an array of sunshine melodies and vocal harmonies over danceable, catchy beats. Oh, and those lyrics are “gathered from daydreams”.
Summer 2015 saw the band make festival appearances at the likes of The Great Escape (supporting The Cribs), Kendal Calling, Gold Coast Ocean Fest and Boardmasters, summer 2016 is looking equally as busy with Festival No. 6, Blissfields and Above 110 Festival already announced, with more to follow. Post-summer the band head out on a UK tour in support of a new release, which we just can't tell you about yet, but stay tuned and grab your tickets now for one of these very fine shows indeed, which includes the bands biggest headline show to date at The Borderline, London (14+ Show)!
