** ALBERT GOLD WON’T ‘GIVE IN’! **
** SOUL MAN HEADS TO THE WAITING ROOM ON 30.08! **
Hackney soul boy Albert Gold celebrates the release of a brand new single called ‘Give In’ by hopping over the blood on the tracks, ie the A10 to Stoke Newington for a headline show at The Waiting Room, as per this information below.
‘Give In’ features up-and-coming electro producer Marble Empire, who will join Albert on The Waiting Room bill. A dizzying combination it is too, as ‘Give In’ is all-over-the-place in the best possible way, with sweethearted synths fuelling a chorus which positively gallops over the horizon.

STOKE NEWINGTON WAITING ROOM
(175 Stoke Newington High St, London N16 0LH)
ALBERT GOLD (onstage 9.40pm) ‘Give In’ follows his ‘Second’ EP which was indeed the second of three Albert Gold Extended Play releases slated to come out over the course of the year, the first being the summertime ‘17 ‘Oxygen’ EP. Hackney boy Albert’s expansive velveteen tones have drawn comparisons with Luther Vandross, Frank Ocean and Sam Smith. More new Golden tunes coming real soon…
MARBLE EMPIRE (onstage 8.45pm) is 21 year-old singer/songwriter/producer Matt Berry from North London. Berry is a multi-instrumentalist who writes and produces all his own material, which he describes as a blend of, “Gritty basslines, jazz harmony and guitar lines soaked in effects”. Influenced by the likes of Ben Khan, Jungle, SG Lewis and Frank Ocean, tentative early single releases last year quickly gained him much attention and saw Marble Empire feature in the BBC Introducing Top 30 for 2017.
YAZ AIYLA (onstage 8.00pm) is an alternative R&B singer songwriter (born Yasemin Taylor-Gencer), who creates powerful and pure neo soul-rooted music. Born to English and Turkish parents, and growing up between Devon and Turkey, Yaz Aiyla was exposed to a vast array of music, and moved to London to pursue her music career. Aiyla takes inspiration from an eclectic group of genres, from artists such as Amy Winehouse, Tom Misch, The Internet and Erykah Badu to Banks, Bononbo, Tash Sultana and Santana, aiding her in creating a delicately and delightfully put together sound.
